Position Overview:
The Technical Sales Consultant (TSC) provides technical consultancy, partnering with Entrust sales executives and supporting the pre-sales process. The TSC is expected to be highly technical and able to provide a detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of specialized technologies.
This Technical Sales Consultant position has a focus on color technology and color-related expertise. This role requires both technical and sales skills to understand customer needs/requirements to assist in the qualification of sales opportunities. This person will be viewed as a trusted advisor to help Internal sellers, customers and prospects utilize Entrust solutions. Must be a self-starter who can multi-task, manage their time, prioritize accordingly and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver demonstrations and presentations of solutions to customers and prospective customers.
Perform requirements gathering and collaborate with internal teams to architect a solution that meet customer needs.
Contribute to the technical track of proposal or quote generation, including generating customer-facing proposals for consulting or EBYS activities
Provide technical expertise on Entrust solutions, partnering with Sales Executives on the plan to bring them to the market.
Work with your sales team on CRM activities in order to ensure that the pipeline and forecast are precise.
Complete account planning, annual budget and other sales related activities with your sales team.
Collaborate with Product Marketing and our Strategic Alliance team on the On-Demand Brand Mark Printing Initiative, providing customer-facing support for key customers.
Partner with Marketing and Engineering on color-related documents such as our Technology Printing/Design Guide for color printing
Provide color technology expertise through TSC activities such as gathering customer requirements and presenting color calibration and setup activities
Contribute to customer-facing training materials and/or videos for large bank customers and service bureaus
Complete testing of end-customer samples, and provide maintenance, updating, and generation of our Hue/Swatch library card samples kit
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience related to color printing production
Familiar with desktop image editing and preparation-for-print technologies and tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Customer-facing experience as a technical consultant, sales engineer, technical product support specialist, or equivalent
Ability to create and/or train on materials related to color printing processes
Familiar with color printing analysis devices such as spectrophotometers
Travel - ability to travel domestically and internationally for durations up to a week.
Travel Frequency - Intermittent – not expected to exceed 10-15% of full-time work schedule
Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, security field, or similar.
Experience with contactless printing technologies such as Inkjet and/or DoD
Experience related to the B2B financial services marketplace
Experience or Knowledge of the following:
Commercial-level printers such as those of Konica/Minolta or Riso
Non-paper printing media such as PVC, PET, and Polycarbonate
Newer, environmentally-friendly media (card) types / surfaces
Forms and paper printing on forms utilizing EFI and Fiery RIPs
In-depth color analysis/profile generation tools - XRite family
Understanding of the aspects and attributes of color printing, including: color gamut, tones, gradients, RGB, CMYK, and ICC profile generation
